Om Vika of Sweden
Mrs Vika Viola Svensson was a girl from Gothenburg, she was born in 1879 and was one of the first students to obtain an engineering degree at a Swedish university. At the beginning of the new century she was a talented lady of society. In 1911 she opened a coffee house in Kyrkogatan in the city of Gothenburg.
She got very popular and was – ahead of her time. Her coffee house was a beautiful meeting place for the rich and famous. Unusually for the time, as a woman she also loved to sell snus to her clientele.
This gave her the nickname Snus-Vika.
The remake of Vika Svensson snus from Gothenburg is a tribute to this woman and her way of thinking outside the box and acting outside the norms of society. The products are manufactured by VK Nordic AB in Lidköping, Sweden.
